Bonner – Director of Events
Annie Bonner joined Powered by Professionals in June, 2006 and currently serves as the Director of Events. She is responsible for the events division of the company and in her short tenure, the 20 events she has produced have generated in excess of $8 million in donations.
Annie has more than eight years of fundraising and special events experience. Her experience includes the Food Bank For New York City, where she worked on a variety of fundraising events, including the Lunchbox Auction, Can-Do Awards Dinner, CANS Film Festival, and a variety of press events, donor cultivation events and conferences.
Additionally, Annie served as the Communications Director at Urban Dove, where she headed up communications and fundraising initiatives, and focused on growing and improving the Dove’s special events. During her time there, Urban Dove more than doubled its revenue from their largest annual fundraiser, and also established two new major annual fundraising events.
Annie began her career with a year of AmeriCorps volunteer service, serving as a Program Coordinator at St. John’s Bread & Life soup kitchen in Brooklyn, and then worked in public relations at the National Kidney Foundation.
Annie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Villanova University, and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from the New School University. Annie can be reached via email at annie@poweredbyprofessionals.com.
