Our mission is to help make the world a better place by offering solutions to new and existing non-profit organizations to help them increase awareness of their individual causes and further the success of their fundraising by bringing sound business procedures to the non-profit arena.

Our vision is to provide connections among individuals, families and companies to charitable organizations around the world resulting in donations exceeding $1 billion.

History
Powered by Professionals, a fundraising and event management firm specializing in the non-profit sector, was founded in 2002 by Darren W. Port, CEO, and Kenneth J. Grosso. Darren and Ken started the company to fulfill their own desires to give back to the community as well as to help promote the importance of doing so while providing an opportunity for others to do the same.

Darren and Ken believe that a true professional recognizes that an abundant and fulfilling life is the result of taking the time to give back to others, thus, our lives are Powered by Professionals.

In 2010, Darren took sole ownership of the company. Darren has a tremendous amount of experience in fundraising, finance, starting and managing businesses, event planning, sales, marketing and networking. He has recruited a very talented team of passionate, experienced and well-educated individuals who share his vision and help him execute the company’s mission.

To date, the company has touched tens of thousands of lives all over the world. By the end of 2011, the company had raised over $30 million for charities and had connected more than 1,500 individuals to volunteer opportunities that have meaning to them.
