Case Study: R Baby Foundation & Michael's Mission
2019 Two Charities, One Goal, Collaborating to Save Lives Benefit Concert
R Baby Foundation is dedicated to saving the lives of babies by improving pediatric care, education and research. In 2019, R Baby partnered with Michael's Mission, an organization that raises awareness for colorectal cancer through education and research. By coordinating a totally rad benefit concert, the organizations were able to promote both causes. With the help of PBP, R Baby & Michael's Mission was able to reduce expenses, expand partnerships and sponsors and ultimately maximize revenue.
In 2019, we kicked off our Spring season with 2 incredible organizations. Our partner of 13 years, the R Baby Foundation, teamed up with Michael’s Mission for a benefit concert at Hammerstein Ballroom. PBP led the way with fundraising, logistics, talent recruitment, creative direction, and execution. Over 1100 attendees danced the night away at the '80s themed concert to the beats of Rev Run from Run-DMC, DJ Mel DeBarge, Fractures, and Jessie’s Girl. We all were inspired by the evening's honorees, TODAY Show News Anchor Craig Melvin and Jacksonville Jaguars Assistant Coach Mike Rutenberg. Guests snapped pics in front of the giant Lite-Brite, challenged each other to a 4- player Pac-Man game, and sipped Pop Rocks cocktails at the Rubik's Cube bar. Attendees savored treats from the 80's candy wall and enjoyed edible cookie shots served by our retro roller-skating waitress. The totally rad benefit raised $1.83 million dollars by our 112 corporate sponsors and costs were kept low due to our 31 in-kind partners!
